Privacy & security

Strong end-to-end encryption for anonymous, disposable rooms.

Room messages and supported photos are encrypted in the browser before they are stored. The room phrase and PIN are used locally to derive the room key and are not sent as readable credentials.

No account required

Faceless Talk does not require a name, email address, phone number, profile, or contact list.

Client-side encryption

Content is protected with AES-256-GCM encryption performed on the user’s device before storage.

Temporary rooms

Rooms are designed to expire after five days instead of becoming a permanent searchable history.

Private by default

Room URLs, messages, room identifiers, admin pages, and API routes are excluded from search-engine indexing.

Honest limits

Faceless Talk is not Signal and does not claim Signal-style forward secrecy or a double-ratchet protocol. Use a strong, unpredictable phrase and PIN.
